Start with fresh ranch
Ryan began exploring a fresh, refrigerated ranch built around olive oil, cultured dairy, and herbs. The aim was a ranch he liked, made without the ordinary industrial seed oils he wanted to avoid.
date approximateRyan is working on a fresh, buttermilk-forward ranch with olive-oil-based mayo. The recipe is still evolving. This is where the experiments, tasting notes, and next questions live.
Sunday, September 13, 5 p.m. · Charlie Brown's, Denver.
This week's flavors: Classic, Spicy, Fresh garlic, and Sharp cheddar.
Ranch is free at the tasting. Ordering a shareable dippable from Charlie Brown's kitchen is appreciated.
Optional reminders and weekly flavor alerts. One combined text when you choose both. Feedback does not subscribe you.
More tang? Less garlic? Better on pizza than on a salad? Text (833) 339-3636 with your notes or a tasting photo. Blunt is useful.

Ryan began exploring a fresh, refrigerated ranch built around olive oil, cultured dairy, and herbs. The aim was a ranch he liked, made without the ordinary industrial seed oils he wanted to avoid.
date approximateThe first small batch was about three cups. It started with an olive-oil blend and a mayonnaise emulsion that needed rescuing. The bigger taste lesson was simpler: Ryan wanted less mayo-heavy richness and more buttermilk.
date approximateTwelve pint jars compared yolk forms, olive oils, and the mayo/sour-cream/buttermilk balance. Seasoning stayed deliberately quiet so the base could speak. A1 and B4 were Ryan’s favorites heading into the wider tasting.
The ranch went to a tasting at Charlie Brown’s. Ryan later reported that the first day went great, and some people signed up to hear more.
With a dairy/mayo balance Ryan liked and encouraging feedback, the next stated experiment was fresh versus dried seasonings. That is a direction for the next round, not a completed result.
date approximateThe weekly tasting turned up the heat. Last week's flavor was spicy ranch.
The current tasting schedule is Sundays at 5 p.m. at Charlie Brown’s, Denver. This tracker will carry the experiments and confirmed weekly flavor; Ranch Guy will handle feedback and optional tasting texts.
