What we collect and why

When you text Ranch Guy, we receive your phone number, messages, timestamps, delivery information, photos you send, and any subscription choices. We keep feedback and photos you send, along with enough context to associate them with a tasting when known. A name is optional. We use these records to respond, preserve feedback for Ryan, send the notices you requested, prevent duplicate messages, and honor opt-outs.

Photos are stored privately for Ryan. They are not published automatically. We may ask whether a photo or a short quote can appear on the ranch tracker; we only publish those if you say yes, and we do not publish your name or number unless you offer them.

We do not require a personal profile, home address, birthday, or medical history. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information. Feedback, photos, and contact details are private project records, not public website content.

Who processes the information

Ryan and authorized project operators can access records needed to run this program. Telnyx processes messaging, and Cloudflare hosts the website and bot infrastructure. Ranch Guy drafts replies with Cerebras gpt-oss-120b through Cloudflare AI Gateway (the same path as the OpenCode operator). If that provider is unavailable, Cloudflare Workers AI is the fallback. Your message text is sent to that provider so the bot can answer in character. Feedback and photos are stored by us first. The model does not enroll you, handle STOP, or publish photos.

We do not sell mobile information or share it with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. SMS opt-in records and consent are not sold or shared for another party’s messaging program. Necessary service providers process information to operate this program, not to enroll you in unrelated marketing.

Sending feedback does not grant permission to publish your name, phone number, direct quote, photograph, or an identifiable story about you. We ask separately before publishing identifiable material.

Choices and retention

Reply STOP to stop program texts. Ask to see or correct the subscription preferences and optional information we keep about you. Say “forget me,” or contact support@ranchbyryan.com, to request deletion of optional profile information. Optional profile information is deleted immediately on that request and within 90 days after STOP. We retain the minimum suppression and consent evidence needed to honor your choices and account for messages already sent.

Other message and feedback records are kept only as needed for the stated project purposes and legitimate operational requirements. Contact us about deleting or de-identifying them. Service-provider records and backups may have their own retention periods; we do not promise that every provider copy disappears immediately.

Website

The initial site does not use advertising trackers or require an account. Hosting services may process technical request information to deliver and secure the site. New data uses will be disclosed; a privacy-policy change does not grant permission for new kinds of messages.
